One thing to always keep in mind about Facebook is that these guys are serious ideologues who are serious about bringing positive change to the world. It’s not just a catchy tagline on their website but a legitimate mantra, and these guys are evangelicals for the cause of connectedness and bringing people together. I trust their instincts, and I think if more people considered the people behind the Facebook operation then the only thing we’d be talking about from this interview would be the part about how after the Iranian protests erupted they translated the entire site into Farsi—including a full right-to-left redesign—in thirty-six hours.
Yesssssssss. Re: this piece, which this week made the internet lose its actual shit.
